Katie's Night is our annual community gala fundraiser. It's a night of conservation and community. Hundreds of people join us for a sit down dinner, silent and live auctions, conservation guest speakers, music entertainment, and the latest news on our conservation projects and initiatives around the world.

Come and see how we connect communities in Colorado with communities around the United States and around the world to help save the endangered animals we all love through education and human assistance.

2022 is the return of our first in-person Katie's Night in three years. While our online virtual events were still a wonderful success, we're so happy to again have the opportunity to see and interact with all of you. Our venue this year is a state of the art technical wonder and you won't have any problem hearing and seeing our presentations and the incredible projection mapping on the walls as you enjoy a delicious sit-down dinner, silent and live auctions, a conservation presentation by renowned veterinary comedian and conservationist, Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald as well as music entertainment by the Strangebyrds.

Our partners over at Wildlife Protection Solutions (WPS) will be on hand to transport you around the world to see wild animals up close and personal through their custom virtual reality VR goggles. You won't want to miss that!

Please, come to Katie's Night 2022 and bring some friends with you and learn more about how the Katie Adamson Conservation Fund is helping to save endangered animals around the world by educating and helping communities sustainably.

You'll love the energy and passion.

Renowned Veterinarian & Comedian

Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald_Comp_jpg.jpg

With a background that ranges from being a bouncer with The Rolling Stones and The Who, a 25-year career in veterinary medicine that saw him named “Specialist of the Year in Private Practice” in 2006, & over 20-years of performing as a professional stand-up comedian; Kevin Fitzgerald is a true renaissance man.

Perhaps best known for his 11 seasons on the popular Animal Planet TV show Emergency Vets, Kevin’s passion for making people laugh is surpassed only by his unwavering dedication to all creatures great and small. He believes it is a great privilege to be in a position where he is able to pursue a dual career doing work that he truly enjoys.

Despite maintaining a busy practice at Alameda East Veterinary Hospital in Denver, Kevin performs to rave reviews at nearly one hundred corporate and fundraising events annually and is in very high demand as a host, guest speaker, and lecturer at universities and veterinary conferences across the country. He believes that laughter is an incredibly important part of everyday life, and that nobody could ever laugh too much.

Award-winning Music Entertainment

Strangebyrds_Comp_jpg.jpg

2021 marks ten years of our music duo, Strangebyrds.  The songs on our fifth studio album, Highway Islands were started in the fall of 2019 and through the eye-opening year of 2020. We took this time of canceled shows and tours and wrote and recorded twelve new songs in our home studio, Byrd Nest Recording. These twelve songs are a “landscape of songs” written in a time of great change and turbulence throughout our world.  They are songs of hope and also pinpoints of the ever-changing climate in our nation.  Our fans became and continue to be our lifelines supporting our “Blue Collar Folk-Americana” as never before and giving us new hope.

Strangebyrds have recorded four award-winning releases recognized by both the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival and the Telluride Bluegrass Festival Songwriting Competitions: Star Crossed Lovers (2018), Devils & Desires  (2015), Migration (2013), and Strangebyrds (2011).

The magnetic synergy of Strangebyrds' unique Americana music has forged a reputation for captivating audiences with powerful, universal truths layered within stunning musicianship.
